Welcome to the website of Magnonic and Photonic Devices Research Group!
We focus on growing and developing magnetic, multiferroic, spintronic and photonic complex oxides and metallic thin films to develop integrated spintronic logic, sensor and telecommunication devices. Both origins of fundamental spin-wave mechanisms and device behavior are characterized.
Our publications focus on advanced materials and device architecture for magnetooptical spatial light modulators. We include modeling and control of magnetic anisotropy in magnetic insulator garnet thin films with perpendicular magnetic anisotropy for spintronic applications. We study direct current-tunable MHz to multi-GHz skyrmion generation and control by micromagnetic simulations.
Our PI received TÜBA-GEBİP award. Saeedeh's magnetic anisotropy paper and modeling data were published in "Journal of Magnetism and Magnetic Materials", and "Data in Brief", respectively. Soheila's magnetooptical SLM review paper was published in "Advanced Optical Materials". Arash passed his Ph.D. qualifier exam. Congratulations Arash!
